Our story
This sound has carried through the mountains and deserts of Balochistan for centuries, and almost none of it was written down. We love it, so we are recording the old cassettes and putting what we find where the world can reach it.

Named tunes, and the Aahal inside them
Every Nar Sur performance draws on a repertoire of named tunes, the Zemur. Twenty-seven are catalogued, and sixty-three Aahal within them, each with its own tempo, occasion, and feeling.
